A beautiful vacation in Italy and France, to combine stupendous nature and historical highlights, amazing waters for great swimming and splendid promenades ashore, in some cosmopolitan and some more tranquil places.

Day 1, Castellammare di Stabia – Capri (Embarkation at 12.00hrs)

RM Elegant will be waiting for you in the picturesque marina of Castellammare di Stabia, in the Naples Gulf. The crew will be delighted to welcome you on board, your new home for the next fourteen days. Make your self feel at home, explore all decks and get spoiled with all exquisite amenities on board. Capri is an island known as a cocktail of nature, art, culture and high society that has few equivalents in the world. It is the colour of the sea and the environment, the crystalline turquoise in the inlets, the white of the rocks in the blazing sun and the grey of the clifftops or again the dense green of the Mediterranean marquis, the yellow of the flowering broom… Enjoy water leisure and a festive lunch prepared by our Chef in views of the romantic island. Here in Capri you will use the local tenders to reach the shore, as per local regulations. Then, you can take the funicular railway up to Capri town or ride in an open topped taxi. A great site to be reached by the nerve shall be the Anacapri to see Axel Munthe’s Villa San Michele and its sublime gardens. If on the other hand you feel like spending a lazy day, head for the Marina Piccola and enjoy a pre-dinner aperitif at La Canzone del Mare. Alternatively pass by the legendary restaurant La Capannina or why not, enjoy an off-hand drink in the open air just in the middle of a lemon orchard. Don't forget to save time for shopping as this is the Designer's Heaven with the upscale tiny shops, with all brands available and serious sparklers in platinum and gold. Go walking nearby Marina Grande and stop for refreshments at an outdoor café in one of the little piazzas as you watch Capri life go by. If you prefer dinner ashore, we may suggest Da Paolina, to dine under lemon trees and candlelight, serving gorgeous and delicious meals, or at the Da Gemma, to taste the largest variety of antipasti. If you feel exhausted from the excessive strolls and the excitement of shopping you can still catch up the sunset from the decks of RM ELEGANT through the Faraglioni Rocks and delight in a comfortable dinner on board. You will admire the hypnotizing land lights reflecting in amphitheatrically symmetry as your favorite music is playing loud. The night turns to a great party around the Jacuzzi area, and the mood is cheerful as drinks are served all night long… This is just the first dazzling night from more to follow…

Day 2, Capri – Blue Grotto – Sorrento

Wake up today anchored off the surreal Grotto. The Blue Grotto together with the Faraglioni, is the trademark of Capri. Accessible only from the sea, it owes its name to the remarkable play of colours that meets your eyes inside. A phenomenon of refraction creates a magical iridescence which illuminates the sides of the grotto through the water to a considerable depth. Enjoy water leisure and rewarding massage sessions after such a tough day! We can extend the day to the Sorrentine Peninsula, celebrated throughout the world for its view and perfumes, to explore the beaches, coves and crystal blue water. You will be definitely enchanted by the views of the Sorrento village, overlooking the bay of Naples. The town has a unique panorama: Looking out from Sorrento you will see Vesuvius, the city of Naples, and the islands of Capri and Ischia. The town itself is pretty, with a well preserved old town.Narrow streets, ornate churches and medieval houses bring Sorrento’s history to life. The centre of Sorrento life is Piazza Tasso, built over a steep gorge, where tables and chairs crowd the central square. Spend hours people-watching while enjoying a coffee and a local delicacy. As you stroll in the town don’t miss the impressive 15th Century cathedral and its works of art. If you are in the mood for a long excursion ashore to experience unique cultural moments, wear your soft shoes and get ready for a visit to the remains of Herculaneum and Pompeii, on the slopes of volcanic Mount Vesuvius.

Day 3, Sorrento – Amalfi – Positano

An extravagant as always breakfast is served today in the land of the Sirens, the wooers of Ulysses, Amalfi. The island is mythical and blessed with a rich history, seductive panoramic views and steep cliffs rising sheer from the sea. Drawing people to its charmed shores since Roman times, the coastline has thrived on a successful history of maritime trade, wealthy nobility and the notions of myths and legends extending to the writings of Homer in his epic Odyssey. The homonym town, Amalfi, is a picturesque town with the characteristic white houses on the rocks at the mouth of Mills’ Valley. Here the nature is still on the wild side, the sea is emerald green and the architecture features houses clinging to the rocky slope, ancient towers to guard the town and churches with majolica domes, overlooking the sea. A real Eden with a gentle climate, delightful beaches, and an architectural value of its monuments, traditions and excellent local food, to make it an incomparable place, so that Renato Fucini said: "when people from Amalfi will go to Paradise, it will be an ordinary day for them". Amalfi, Ravello and smaller towns like Minori, Maiori… every settlement along the coast is a foretaste of paradise, every view remains imprinted in visitor’s heart and mind. We will definitely suggest a land excursion to Ravello, 350 meters above sea level. This beautiful town is located between the Valley of Dragone and the Valley of Regina, up a supremely panoramic narrow road, which twists up from the coast towards the mountains. There rises Ravello in a dominating position on the hill top, offering a spectacular view over the whole of the Amalfi Coast that have no equal in the world. The tranquillity of the town greatly appealed to poets and writers such as Giovanni Boccaccio. The wealth of art works is preserved in numerous ecclesiastical buildings such as the Cathedral of St Pantaleone, Patron saint of the town, a building which is striking because of its marble work; the adjacent bell tower, the Church of St Martino, the Church of St Angelo and the Church of St Giovanni del Toro. It is also a good idea to visit Villa Rufolo, a building which is home too much of the art of Ravello, surrounded by splendid gardens, where numerous musical and cultural events are held, Villa Cimbrone and the Terrace of Infinity. If you feel like extending your excursion to more picturesque towns we may suggest Minori at the seaside cost and Maiori in the deepest inlet of the Amalfi coast. The beautiful beach of Minori occupies the whole small bay comprised between the promontory which divides the town from Maiori and the opposite cape, all covered by the houses and noble palaces of the historic centre with some fortified towers on the sea; behind the beach, the beautiful tree-lined promenade… After lunch we may cruise to Positano, unless you wish extend a shore tour and the yacht to meet you anchored off Positano. This is a well known place for its beauty and architecture, with the little white geometric shaped houses, looking like cubes and small openings & arches forming a vertical town. Remember your soft shoes as Positano has such little streets and stairs all ending up on via Pasitea, where many boutiques and stores are located. Following via Pasitea you will reach down the main beach where the major Cathedral is located. During your promenade don’t miss the S.S. Maria Assunta church known for its mosaic made of majolica. When you return on board enjoy a great meal as the yacht will be waiting for you anchored off the entrance of Positano, at the Grotta La Porta. This is corresponding with a marine inlet, an impressive cave and shelter. This cave together with the Grotta del Mezzogiorno and Grotta Erica are famous worldwide because of the excavations conducted here, concluding that most likely have been inhabited by humans in prehistoric times, actually from the Paleolithic period. A rich day in water activities and regular visits ashore... Enjoy great rides with the tenders today and why not, approach the private Gallo Lungo and the small islets close by Positano. Sunset is the perfect time to fancy an aperitif on the decks staring at the illuminated land, before a delicious dinner served. If you are in the mood for a party, let’s get ready to prepare one! Set your favorite music and the night is on fire!

Day 4, Positano – Ischia

Wake up today in the magnificent views of Ischia. The sister islands of Ischia and Procida were born from volcanic origins and share a landscape shaped by an artist and lush in greenery, fragrant flowers and lemon and orange groves. Thermal hot springs, pastel coloured fishermen’s houses and old Italian charisma are just some of the features that await you there! Upon approval by the local authorities we might possibly arrange transportation to Procida. There you shall visit the picturesque main village with its extraordinaire colours and will remind you of rural structures of the Middle Ages and the Orient. The cubic colourful houses with their flat roofs, the entwined alleys – all this demonstrates that Procida has always been standing a bit apart from world history despite its proximity to Naples. The sea at Ischia is like the natural environment: not crowded, transparent and still firmly attached to the traditions of the sea-farers. This island is the ideal place for to discover today the true dimension of living by the sea. Enjoy endless rides with tenders around the island’s rugged tuff cliffs… it is the best way to get to know its coves, outcrops and crystal-clear sea. By local transportation means as per local regulations you may reach Procida as well. The views of its nature will excite your senses with the preserved wild nature and the colourful fishermen’s houses are a result of a conscious decision of the habitants to conserve their island in an authentic state. Head to Marina of Chiaiolella where you can enjoy seafood and limoncello, the liqueur made from Procida’s celebrated lemons. Early evening we are anchored off Saint Angelo in Ischia. Ischia is universally known for its sea, the Araganose Castle and its remarkable spa resources. There are no less than eight zones of mineral springs scattered over the island, not to mention innumerable springs, stufas and fumaroles. The island has modern thermal parks with hot swimming pools, saunas, jacuzzi’s, japanese and turkish bath, restaurants and bar at your disposal on the seashore. This evening is certainly spent in spa relaxation. If you prefer the water activities instead, we will arrange for you to be in San Pancrazio for a great swimming, snorkelling and water activities. Indulge in great care of the crew on board whilst you cherish astonishing views from the decks…

Day 5, Ischia – Ponza

Ponza has a long and fascinating history dating back to pre-Roman times. It has beautiful beaches, interesting geography and ancient ruins. In the morning we can anchor of the coast to explore full of crags and hidden coves. The island has few foreign visitors and so has managed to remain almost exclusively the haunt of Italians. Around 20 miles long by three miles wide, it is the largest of the six islands in the Pontine Archipelago, a string of volcanic crags sprinkled across the Tyrrhenian Sea, 23 miles off the coast of Lazio. Ponza is famed for its grotto, which were created by Etruscans. It has the Serpents Grotto and the Roman Gallery which is a Roman tunnel to connect the town of Ponza to the large beach called Chiaia di Luna on its west side. There are Egypitian, Cannanite, Greek, and Phoenician Necropoli ruins. It has a small town named Ponza and another one named Santa Maria and a few smaller towns. Further along the side of the island where Half Moon Bay is located, are a series of caves washed into the cliff sides including what was thought to be the “Grotto della Maga Circe”, the home of the sorceress Circe featured in Homer’s tale, “The Odyssey”. The Sirens were thought to have lived on the nearby islands of the Pontine Archipelago. This side of the island in “Luna Bay” is the best to be visited. Once anchored, enjoy the sea along the cliff sides to explore the sea caves and grottos along this coast. In the evening we will drop anchor near Ponza Town, which curls around the harbour. Moorishlooking cubed houses in faded raspberry pink and lemon rise steeply from the waterfront forming an amphitheatre around the bay. The harbor is connected to the main promenade above by a series of staircases, while a tangle of tiny streets continue up the hill. What a night tonight for a great dinner in magnificent views of the picturesque town… Enjoy your favourite music on the Jacuzzi illuminated area tasting cocktails … Captain will cruise overnight to reach Sardinia next day…

Day 6, Ponza – Porto Rotondo

A long breakfast and water leisure in Golfo Aranci close by Olbia. The name has nothing to do with oranges but originates to the Gulf of the Crubs… Feel welcomed in the landscape of sun and sea, a beauty featuring a natural calling for cruising. And this thanks to the extraordinaire looks, the quality of services offered, and the position in the heart of a land, rich in priceless natural and historic-artistic beauty. We may select one of the white sanded beaches like the smaller Spiaggia dei Sassi e delle Alghe or the Punta Asfodelo or we can anchor to the large Spiaggia Bianca. This is a large beach with crystal clear water, fine white sand like powder and a stunning view on the Tavolara Island. A perfect spot to spend the whole day in sea activities! Tenders are always in the water ready to take you ashore if you feel like visiting the nearby villages to stroll ashore. Whilst at anchor, ambrosial meals are served in enchanting views from the decks. If we are lucky, you will have the possibility to view dolphins. Actually Golfo Aranci is the only place in Sardinia which has a non-migratory colony of dolphins! Whole families of dolphins, the Bottlenose species, come inside the fence bounding the boats’ forbidden area, in order to eat, tempted by the fishing installations located near the Figarolo isle. It is quite easy to see them! Later in the evening we head to Porto Rotondo, a well preserved natural environment since 1967 when international investors made this area one of the most sought after destinations of the exclusive yachting tourism. Porto Rotondo is today the sworn rival of the, relatively close, Emerald Coast, attracting exponents from the International Jet Set. The Piazzetta, created entirely in local stone, the granite amphitheatre, and the Church of St Lorenzo are of great architectural interest to admire. Stroll in the town and visit the boutiques of the world's top fashion designers, interior decorators and craftsmen. Smell the blend of Mediterranean scents from flowers and local delicacies. Such memorable smells of rosemary, lavender, myrtle and juniper… After a sumptuous and festive dinner prepared by our Chef, enjoy a beautiful night in sounds of your favorite music, turning to be a great party on board!

Day 7, Porto Rotondo – Costa Smeralda – La Maddallena islands

Enjoy a long rich breakfast in the famous millionaire’s playground of the Costa Smeralda with aquamarine waters. The area is a luxurious destination featuring exquisite and stunning white sand beaches, superb scenery and great sports facilities. Spiaggia del Principe, one of the beaches along the Costa Smeralda, was named after this Ishmaelite Prince and this is a great selection to spend the day. Snorkeling and water toys are real fun the whole day! The development of Costa Smeralda started in 1961, and was financed by a consortium of companies, headed by the Agha Khan, it is highly fashionable, beautifully planned and full of top class shopping and restaurants.Famous architects involved in the project included Busiri-Vici, Jacques Couëlle, Savin Couëlle and Vietti. If you feel like exploring the land it is a great idea to visit the Arzachena or Capriccioli and Romazzino. Costa Smeralda offers boasts a wide range of restaurants and designer shops. If any of the party would be interested in a game of golf there is of course the famous Pevero Golf Club to visit, offering spectacular views of the Mediterranean. Another remarkable achievement is the prestigious “Club House”, designed and built, by Riccardo Bonicatti, in full harmony with the amazing environment. Its pink granite from Gallura colors the frontage; meanwhile in the inside you find light colored walls, “cotto” floor and functional “Midollino” furniture. Its famous wide balconies offer the view of Cala di Volpe and Pevero Bay, as well as of the first and last holes of the Golf Course. Costa Smeralda is offering great sport events annually as in September the Sardinia Cup sailing regatta is held off the coast, usually featuring famous boats; polo matches are held seasonally between April and October at Gershan near Arzachena. The Italian film festival is held in Tavolara and a vintage car rally entertains antique car enthusiasts. Archaeological sites if you are enthusiastic with history include the Li Muri “Tomba dei Giganti” (Giants’ Grave). If you prefer instead to extend water leisure we steam now to Spargi in Maddalena islands – what a miracle of views! … Spargi is famous for its beaches characterizing the eastern coast. Last but not least, to the north of Spargi lies Budelli famous for its ‘pink beach’. Its coral sandy shore, the intense colors of the sea together with the granites that surround the island represent a unique sight in the world. This beautiful Archipelago from Bonifacio to La Maddalena is known as “The Pearls of the Mediterranean”. The Main Island and the capital of the Archipelago, La Maddalena represents the gateway to the Park. Connected by a bridge is Caprera the second largest island. Its coasts and serene beaches together with the peculiarity of flora are perhaps the most beautiful of the Archipelago. Even though it has only 6 square miles, the island has been declared a natural reserve, being the home of the royal seagull, the cormorant and the peregrine falcon. The rocks make a frame to a very clear sea in which you can count the sand grains even at 20 metres deep during the day light. The sea inside the harbour is also clear and it is not unusual to see fishes and octopuses swimming peacefully on the seabed.

Day 8, La Maddallena islands – Lavezzi islands – Bonifacio

Wake up in the majestic Iles de Lavezzi south of Bonifacio to enjoy breakfast in magnificent views. These are a group of small, barren uninhabited granite islands and reefs, 10 km southeast off the coast of Bonifacio, with beautiful shell sand beaches and azure-coloured sea. This is a wonderful place for diving so should anyone in the group have the necessary certificates and feel in the mood let us know and we can organise this in advance with a local company. Snorkelling is really interesting as you may view a different variety of fish including the huge Merou grouper. After a long day in water activities, enjoy the magic and charm of the scenery on board with sumptuous meals served all day. In the afternoon we will head for Bonifacio. A narrow entrance hidden at the foot of cliffs opens into the harbor of the ancient fortress town of Bonifacio. Its superb location on a narrow peninsula of dazzling white limestone at Corsica's southernmost point creates a town site unlike any other on the island. The town is dynamic with many bars and restaurants. Going ashore in Bonifacio will be a delightful experience whether you participate in a tour inland, explore the town on foot or take the local mini-train for a sightseeing trip around town.

Day 9, Bonifacio – Ajaccio

Enjoy a leisurely morning of water sports around the Sanguinaires Islands. The four small islands in the Gulf of Ajaccio, with their red rocks and jagged outline are a great destination for water activities. They are a sanctuary for birds, rare fauna and flora, and offer secluded swimming spots and good walking. The islands lie just off Pointe de la Parata, where there are some walks and beautiful coastal scenery. Later at the day we head to Ajaccio. Surrounded by an admirable cirque of mountains, elegant and radiant Ajaccio welcomes delighted visitors to its sunny shores. From the top of its citadel's ramparts, Ajaccio has kept the purity of its shores intact, which are said to be amongst the most beautiful in the world. Through the alleys of the old town, discover its Napoleonic history and its prestigious museums, as Napoleon was born here. Visit the magnificent cathedral where Napoleon was christened, the Bonaparte residence and numerous statues and street names related to his family. Don’t miss the Musée Fesch as it contains the art collection of Napoleon's maternal uncle, Cardinal Fesch. The collection of Italian paintings is considered to rate second only to that of the Louvre and are well worth seeing as well.

Day 10, Ajaccio – Calvi

Corsica is spectacular and nothing of Corsica is enough! The mountains tower over the bays and reach heights in excess of 2000 meters. Calvi with its colourful array of buildings, cobbled streets climbing up to a Genoese Citadel and a pine fringed crescent of silver sand stretching as far as the eye can see will delight all on board. …Things to do? The water sports we offer so all toys are down for great rides and water toys as every day... Depending on the weather, our suggestion would be a ride by tender to the nature reserve at Scandola could be an option. You will certainly admire the frescoes, paintings, sculpture and architecture of this beautiful building.

Day 13, Monte Carlo – St. Tropez

A very lazy morning indeed! When you wake up we will be anchored off one of the most famous beaches in the world, St Tropez’s Pampelonne Beach to spend a great time in Club 55. All water sports equipment at your disposal… If you prefer some reservation on the beach please let us know to arrange so. Club 55 originated, appropriately, in 1955 when Brigitte Bardot was filming And God Created Woman on Pampelonne Beach and the director asked a fisherman's hangout if they could cook for the cast. It's been almost synonomous with the St Tropez Beach scene since then, and never disappoints. This well-groomed private beach club is in the middle of Pampelonne Beach combined with a "laid back elegant" outdoor restaurant that serves perfect beach cuisine in a buzzy but relaxed and surprisingly intimate setting. It is the most requested destination in the South of France, and well known as a haunt of stars and the rich and famous. Tenders can transfer you anywhere, so later you could have a stroll ashore and pre-lunch aperitif at the famous Nikki Beach. Order the ‘Pastis’, a local drink and very refreshing aperitif indeed! If you enjoy exploration, then Port Grimaud, the Mediterranean Venice, or the exceptional Port Cogolin will impress you! In the late afternoon the yacht will turn round to the port of St. Tropez where will be at anchor. Take a stroll round town before gathering on board. A great dinner turns to a veritable feast tonight on board! Aperitif ashore is always an option of course. For guests still with enough energy let us make reservations for you at Les Caves du Roy or the VIP Club.

Day 14, St. Tropez – Antibes

Our tenders are in the water for a convenient access to the shore at any time. We may organize a nice tour to enjoy the greatest highlights of the beautiful Provencal countryside. Shall we start with an aperitif at the famous Colombe D’Or or leave it for later before lunch on board? Eighty years ago Paul Roux started a modest cafe in a 16-century house in the hills above the French Riviera. As the business grew Henri Matisse became a regular; Marc Chagall, Joan Miró, Jean Renoir and many other painters, writers and film artists followed. Today, the hotel boasts a breathtaking array of original 20th century art contributed by many of its famous clientele. When you return on board, cocktails and canapés will be waiting for you on the aft saloon deck before a gorgeous lunch. Enjoy your drinks to the accompaniment of a great music you select on decks. After dinner enjoy your drinks up to the Sun Deck ahead of a fare well party, as this is the last night of your cruise…

Or alternatively Cannes

Enjoy breakfast anchored off Iles de Lerins for your last swimming… Iles de Lerins is a small archipelago just off the coast of Cannes. The archipelago has the two main islands of Sainte-Marguerite and Saint-Honorat. The former is famed for its Fort Royal where you can see the now bare little cell where the Man in the Iron Mask was incarcerated. The later Saint-Honorat is worth visiting the monks at the monastery to buy some of their local production. Later at the day we can anchor off or berth in Cannes port depending on the availability. The first and foremost thing to do in Cannes is to stroll down the Croisette, the world famous street, which runs along the shoreline of Cannes, and is full of upscale shopping opportunities. Enjoy your massage session as every day and decide later if you wish to dine on board or in one of the famous restaurants such as the Palme d’Or... This is a 2 stars Michelin gastronomic restaurant for a veritable feast. After dinner should any guests wish to go ashore we will be happy to make reservations for them at any of the famous clubs such as Le Palais a nocturnal hotspot or Le Baoli and the VIP which are always fun.
